02 / THE CONTEXT
A new chapter.
A national conversation.
Voting rights.
Public accountability.
Voices on the street.
On 2 October, CJP held a protest at Shivaji Park in Mumbai. On 3 October, CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke announced a fresh protest at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar for 10 October if Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar does not resign.
The protest demand concerns the Chief Election Commissioner and alleged issues around electoral rolls and the Special Intensive Revision (SIR). These are protesters’ allegations and demands, not findings of wrongdoing.
