Refund Policy

Automatic takeover refunds. When a qualifying takeover succeeds, the previous sponsor’s eligible payment amount is automatically refunded to the original payment method.

1. Refunds apply to completed payments

A refund applies only to an eligible completed payment. Opening a placement, preparing a logo or entering an amount does not create a payment or refund entitlement.

2. Automatic refund when your spot is taken over

Once another sponsor’s qualifying payment successfully takes over your position, the eligible payment amount you paid for that sponsorship is automatically submitted for refund to the original payment method. The replacement sponsor’s sponsorship amount becomes the current winning amount and sets the next takeover minimum.

Protest 2.0 does not deduct its own printing or project costs from an eligible takeover refund. Any bank, card-network or currency-conversion difference that happens outside the payment processor is outside the project’s control.

3. Refund timing

The refund is initiated automatically after the qualifying takeover is confirmed. The payment provider or your bank may take time to show the money back on the original payment method. Please allow up to 7 days for the refund to appear.

If the refund has not appeared after 7 days, DM @Ayushkwh on X with your receipt or transaction reference and spot ID so the refund status can be checked. Never send card numbers, passwords or one-time codes.

4. Cancellation or inability to deliver

If the project is cancelled before fulfilment, or an affected sponsor’s promised placement cannot be delivered, the eligible payment amount for that sponsorship will be refunded to the original payment method. Any substitute date or content arrangement requires that sponsor’s agreement. A sponsor changing their mind does not automatically create a refund right unless required by applicable law or separately agreed.

5. Failed, duplicate or conflicting purchases

A failed payment does not create ownership. A duplicate charge or a successful payment that cannot secure the selected position must be investigated and refunded where no agreed service is supplied. A qualifying takeover must actually complete before the previous sponsor’s automatic takeover refund is triggered.

6. Artwork rejected before fulfilment

If proposed artwork does not meet the Content Policy, the sponsor will be asked to provide suitable replacement artwork. If the sponsorship is declined before fulfilment, the eligible payment amount will be refunded to the original payment method. A rejected brand must not remain labelled as an active sponsor.

7. Request help

Keep your receipt or transaction reference and selected spot ID. If an expected refund has not appeared after 7 days, DM @Ayushkwh on X so the payment and refund status can be checked.
